| What is LoadPilot? |

LoadPilot is a web site that allows you to quote, book, organize, invoice and manage all of your loads. It is a service that you subscribe to, not software that you buy. So that means you never have to install any software or buy any expensive updates. Since LoadPilot was designed by brokers for brokers, we’ve taken every step to make it as easy to use as possible.
| Do I have to install something on my computer? |

No, that’s the best part of LoadPilot. There is nothing that you have to install on your computer. LoadPilot is a web site that you subscribe to, not software that you buy. That means you never have to worry about computer problems, installing programs or purchasing updates. We take care of all the technical things, so that you can focus on running your business.
| Do I need a certain kind of computer? |

No. You can use any computer that has internet access and a modern web browser. You can use a PC, a Mac, a Linux based computer… it doesn’t matter. And since you can work from any computer, that means you can work practically anywhere in the world. And if your computer crashes, there’s no need to worry. All of your data is stored safely on our web site, which is backed up every day. So you can just go to a different computer and keep on working.
| How much does it cost? |

LoadPilot is a web site that you subscribe to by paying either a monthly or yearly membership fee. We have several different packages to choose from, so there’s likely one that will fit your budget. Click here for more info.
| Can LoadPilot help me find shippers? |
|
 Yes and no. The LoadPilot software by itself is not designed to help you find shippers. But we do offer a giant list of 30,000 shippers that you can purchase separately. The list contains all the contact info you need to help you find new shippers to work with. This list is a "MUST HAVE" for all freight brokers, agents and trucking companies and is sure to boost to your sales.
| Can I really work from anywhere? |

Yes. Anywhere you have a computer with access to the internet, you can use LoadPilot. You can work from home, the office, in a coffee shop, at the airport, anywhere you have internet access. And if your computer dies, it doesn’t matter. That’s because all of your information is stored on our web site, not on your computer.
| Is it easy to use? |
|
We want to help you be as productive as possible, so we’ve made LoadPilot as easy to use as possible. In fact, LoadPilot was designed by brokers for brokers. While building LoadPilot, we carefully analyzed each and every feature to make it as easy for you as possible. It has been designed to walk you through each step of the broking process, in order to make everything as easy as possible. Even if you’re new to freight brokering, LoadPilot will guide you at each step. LoadPilot also helps by double checking your work, and reminding you of information you may have forgot to enter.
| Do you offer video tutorials? |

Yes we do! In order to get you up and running fast, we’ve made short video tutorials that explain every part of LoadPilot. So if there’s something your don’t understand, instead of reading a set of instructions, you can just watch a short video and listen as it explains exactly what you need to do. Everything is in plain English with no fancy jargon or industry speak. Just look, listen and go.
| What is the eFax option and what does it include? |
|
With your LoadPilot account, you can add on an optional "eFax" service. This allows you to send faxes (like rate confirmations and invoices) right from LoadPilot to any fax machine. Talk about a time saver. Even better, you get your own 1-800 number that your customers can fax you with. The eFax option includes 1000 inbound/outbound, and 3¢ a page there after.
| What is your refund policy? |
|
LoadPilot offers a 2 week free test drive to allow you the opportunity to see how LoadPilot works and learn if it’s for you. After purchasing LoadPilot we have a one business day (24 hour) refund period. After that time (one business day) we no longer offer refunds.
| Can I easily resend the same load over and over again? |
|
Yes. LoadPilot is all about making you more productive, so we’ve added a very useful feature called “resend”. If you have a load that you repeatedly ship over and over again, then the resend feature will save you A LOT of time. It copies a previous load, and then lets you edit all the details before you send it out again. No more retyping the same thing over and over again.
| Can I look up previous loads that I sent in past? |
|
Next time you’re on the phone with a client, trying to remember information about a previous load, just go to the load history page. It will allow you to quickly and easily find all of the loads that you’ve sent in the past. It even allows you to “resend” a past load with just the click of a button.
| How much brokering experience do I need to get started? |
|
Very little. You should have some understanding of the brokering process, but you don’t need to be an expert. LoadPilot has been designed to be very easy for beginners, yet full-featured and powerful enough for even the most seasoned professionals. Each page has a “helpful info box” with easy to understand instructions written in plan English. Also we’ve created short video tutorials that show and verbally explain every feature in LoadPilot. So even if you’re new to the brokering industry, you’ll be able to get up and running fast!
| I have freight agents who work for me. Will they each need their own LoadPilot account? |
|
No. As a broker, you sign up for one LoadPilot account, and then you are able to add your agents onto your account. Each agent that you add to your account will be given his or her own log in and password. Your agents will only be able to see their own loads and information, but cannot see any information about you or your other agents and their loads.
Of course as the broker, you have total access to all of your agents' loads and information. This allows you to easily supervise their work and help them with their loads.
| How many agents can I add to my account? |
|
There’s no limit. There is a charge for each agent that you add to your account, but you can have as many agents as you need. Having more agents helps you to reproduce yourself and to be more productive.
| Does LoadPilot help me find carriers? |
|
Yes. The heart of LoadPilot is our “Master Carrier Database”. This database contains tens of thousands of motor carriers from all across the country. It helps you to quickly search and find carriers by state, zip code, equipment type, keywords and other important information. All of this makes it a snap to quickly find just the right carrier.

| How up-to-date is the Master Carrier Database? |
|
LoadPilot’s Master Carrier Database is a list of tens of thousands of motor carriers all across the country. What makes it so powerfully useful is that it is constantly monitored and updated, to add in new shippers, and weed out others.
| How secure is LoadPilot? Is my information safe?? |
|
Your information is very safe. LoadPilot was build from the ground up with security in mind. We’ve based it on some of the latest technology in order to keep all of your data secure. LoadPilot uses 128 bit encryption and an SSL certificate to protect your data, and all of your information is stored in our secure database, which is backed up every day.
But we didn’t stop there. Our computers are stored in a highly secured datacenter with 24 hour security, redundant fiber optic connections, back-up power generators, and much more. All of this so that you can rest assured that when you use LoadPilot, your data is safe.
| Does LoadPilot help me keep track of my accounting? |
|
Yes. LoadPilot includes an accounting ledger to help you keep track of your books. Whenever you finish a new load, LoadPilot automatically adds it into your accounting ledger. Best of all, with just the click of a button, your ledger can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet. This allows you to send it to your accountant, or used it anyway you’d like.
| Does LoadPilot integrate with any load Boards? |

Yes! LoadPilot is integrated with leading load boards, and we are always working to add more. With just the click of a button, you can send your loads to any of the following load boards. This means that you as the freight broker, freight agent or owner operator can save a lot of time.

| Do I need a certian web browser? |
|
No, LoadPilot will work just fine with any modern web browser, (such as FireFox, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Opera etc). But for the absolute best viewing experience, we highly recommend using FireFox. It is free, and is one of the most advanced web browsers available. Download it at: www.getfirefox.com. It’s free, safe and very easy to use.

| Can I use a dial-up Internet connection? |
|
You can use a dial-up internet connection when using LoadPilot. However when using a dial-up internet connection LoadPilot will seem to run very slow and depending on your location and the amount of people online, you might experience periods of stalled activity due to the amount of data that is continually being transferred. LoadPilot runs most efficient using a high-speed or Broad-Band connection.
| Is LoadPilot a Load Board? |
|
No, LoadPilot is not a load board. LoadPilot is on-line freight broker software. However, as a freight broker, you can use LoadPilot to send your loads directly to load boards. This will save you a lot of time, by not having to do it by hand.
| What is a Super-Agent? |
|
Trusted agents can be giving the ability to do almost everything the broker can. While regular agents can only work on their own loads, super-agents can work on all the loads in the system, just as the broker would. In fact, the only thing a supper-agent can't do is add/edit other agents or view the accounting area. This set-up is perfect for large brokerages that want their agents to just grab loads from a pool the broker enters.
